On a day that was overcast I somehow managed to show up with 50 speed film and without my cable release, so I had the bright idea that I could just use the timer on the camera to avoid camera shake. These gulls were probably in a really interesting pose when I clicked the shutter button, but the ten seconds it took for the timer to take the picture was obviously just long enough for them to fall asleep...
