The Galapagos Islands were named after the tortoises, which due to a lack of predators rose to the top of the food chain. While it's rare that a tortoise will actually be able to make a kill, it's not unheard of, especially if the animal being attacked is weak or sick. These guys had obviously been feeding off of this goat for several weeks when we found them. :)
