Egypt is amazing -- the thought that these incredible temples, tombs, and other structures were built four thousand years ago boggles the mind. The Great Hypostle Hall in the Temple of Karnak was one of the most impressive sights, with over a hundred huge columns all packed closely together and intricately decorated with carvings. Sitting in a place like that one can understand how ancient people believed that it was a home to the gods.
