I couldn't for the life of me figure out where the buffalo were heading -- they left a beautiful meadow to swim across a freezing river, and as far as I could tell there was nothing but pine trees and a mountain on the other side. I'm sure they had a destination in mind, but I'll forever wonder what it was.
