The giant sequoias are awesome -- walking through a grove with such enormous trees is just a magical experience. Trying to capture that on film, however, is another matter -- you simply cannot get an entire one of these trees into the frame, and even if you could all sense of scale would disappear. I got lucky in this shot because there was a mist settling in that sort of shrouds the smaller trees and makes the sequoia stand out, but it still doesn't even come close to capturing the atmosphere that exists in that grove.
