Richardson Mountains

Richardson Mountains

Location: Dempster Highway, Yukon Territory
Date: 30 August 2002
Camera: Pentax ZX-50
The Richardson mountains are a series of undulating hills that slowly build as they roll into one another. It makes for great hiking, since you can get up on a ridge and just gradually follow the mountains upward, and all the while you get a great view back to the west. Also of note in this picture is that the Dempster Highway is visible in the top right of the photo -- for hundreds of miles around that dirt road is the only sign of civilization.
