Instead we spent the afternoon at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aquariumofpacific.org\/\">Aquarium of the Pacific<\/a> in Long Beach where we got to use the special members-only entrance (membership has its privileges) and spend some time with a group of not-so-hungry <a href=\"\/journal\/2011\/03\/28\/we-liked-the-birds\/\">lorikeets<\/a>, one of whom rudely stole my cup of nectar after biting Audrey.  After the fishes we enjoyed a massive buffet at <a href=\"http:\/\/fuegolongbeach.com\/\">Fuego<\/a> that was far better than any take-out would have been, followed by a lengthy fireworks display next to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.queenmary.com\/\">Queen Mary<\/a>.  Thereafter we were treated to a leisurely 15mph drive home with (apparently) every other resident of the greater Los Angeles metro area.
