It was my first COVID test, and I&#8217;m now painfully aware of how far a swab can be pushed up the nose and into the sinuses.  Hopefully we get back negative results before tomorrow afternoon when we&#8217;re actually supposed to cross the border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The rest of the day was mostly a relaxation day.  We drove around Lake George a bit, which is an odd area.  It&#8217;s officially in Adirondack State Park, but every inch of the lakeshore seems to be a private fifties-era motor lodge, mixed in with mini-golf courses, waterparks, and various <em>Last of the Mohicans<\/em> themed attractions.  We also arrived at the same time as a huge Harley motorcycle rally, so we received some good natured ribbing at roadside pullouts for having a vehicle with &#8220;too many wheels&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tomorrow we&#8217;re driving northwest through the park towards Canada, where we&#8217;ll hopefully get our COVID test results in time to cross the border and enjoy our next destination.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We drove into town first thing this morning to get COVID tests, which are required for entry into Canada.
