{"id":10899,"date":"2017-05-08T23:19:18","date_gmt":"2017-05-09T06:19:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mountaininterval.org\/journal\/?p=10899"},"modified":"2017-05-10T21:18:53","modified_gmt":"2017-05-11T04:18:53","slug":"moneyball-iv","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/mountaininterval.org\/journal\/2017\/05\/08\/moneyball-iv\/","title":{"rendered":"Moneyball IV"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I promise that this will be the last post about the Browns and <a href=\"\/journal\/tag\/moneyball\/\">Moneyball<\/a> for a while, but with the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/2017_NFL_Draft\">2017 NFL Draft<\/a> now complete (quick summary: from a math perspective, awesome draft by the Browns) I wanted to revisit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.profootballfocus.com\/draft-eagles-earn-c-browns-a-in-trade-for-no-2-overall-pick\/\">2016 trade of the #2 pick<\/a>.  I get that some people believe that Carson Wentz is going to be the second coming of Peyton Manning, but statistically he seems pretty average so far, and even if he turns out to be above-average, it&#8217;s really, <i>really<\/i> tough to argue with the numbers when you look at what the Browns have gotten for trading that draft pick.
